Real Madrid has revealed the addition of their fourth summer signing, as they secure the services of Turkish prodigy Arda Guler on a long-term contract. Guler has agreed to a six-year deal with Madrid, which includes add-ons that may increase the transfer fee to €30m. He will be integrated into Madrid’s senior squad.
Real Madrid has secured the services of Arda Güler, an 18-year-old Turkish talent who is considered one of the most promising prospects in world football. Güler recently helped Fenerbahçe win the Turkish Cup, earning man of the match honors in the final. He is also the youngest player to score for Turkey’s national team, achieving the feat at just 18 years and 114 days old.
Güler made his first-team debut for Fenerbahçe in August 2021, before he had even turned 17, and went on to feature in 16 matches, scoring three goals in the 21-22 season. He truly made his mark in the following campaign, making 35 appearances and scoring six goals, including a standout performance in the Turkish Cup final against Basaksehir, where he provided an assist and earned man of the match honors.
Güler’s international career began in November 2022 when he made his debut for Turkey in a friendly match against the Czech Republic, aged just 17. He has since earned four caps and scored his first international goal against Wales in a European Championship qualifier on June 19, 2023. This accomplishment made him the youngest player in Turkish history to score for the national team. With his signing, Güler is set to bolster Real Madrid’s squad for the foreseeable future.
